Commissioning Energy Engineer

EMC Insights is seeking a Senior Commissioning & Energy Management Engineer to support utility-sponsored energy management and commissioning programs throughout New Jersey. The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for evaluating building and industrial system performance, identifying operational energy-saving opportunities, reviewing commissioning studies, validating energy savings estimates, and supporting customers through the implementation of energy management strategies.

This role requires a combination of engineering expertise, building systems knowledge, energy analytics capabilities, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate has experience performing or reviewing Retro-Commissioning (RCx), Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx), Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx), Virtual Commissioning (VCx), Strategic Energy Management (SEM), or related building optimization services.

In this role, you will also be a key technical and field resource, including overseeing engineering staff’s work for our energy efficiency program implementation contracts with utilities to assess the impact of energy efficiency programs, conduct on-site visits at C&I facilities, and work with various stakeholders, including contractors and end-use customers, to review energy savings estimates for large and sometimes complex energy efficiency projects. You will help expand our services to provide a range of measurement and verification (M&V) support to stakeholders. EMC Insights is dedicated to the quality of our work and our client relationships. We offer a casual, friendly working environment, a range of benefits, and competitive salaries.
