Job Description

Clinical AI Product Lead | $175K–$250K + Equity

Do you want to work at the intersection of AI, healthcare and product development? Do you want to take ownership of real-world AI agents that fundamentally change how healthcare providers operate, rather than sitting in a traditional product management role focused on roadmaps, meetings and feature delivery?

A fast-growing, $60M-funded AI startup in New York is building an AI-powered care platform that combines intelligent AI agents with expert clinicians to automate complex clinical workflows and dramatically increase healthcare capacity.

Their technology is already deployed in real healthcare environments, helping medical teams automate time-consuming processes such as patient recalls, prior authorisations and clinical preparation.

They're looking for a Clinical AI Product Lead to own a portfolio of AI agents end-to-end, operating like the general manager of a small business – working directly with customers, partnering with engineering and taking responsibility for everything from initial concept through deployment and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

? Own AI Products End-to-End – Take full responsibility for a portfolio of clinical AI agents, from initial discovery and product development through deployment, performance monitoring and ongoing improvement.

? Build Real-World AI Agents – Work directly with engineering teams to develop and ship AI-powered solutions, reviewing code, contributing using tools such as Cursor and Codex, and making technical decisions.

? Work Directly with Healthcare Customers – Partner with clinicians and healthcare organisations to understand complex operational challenges, gather requirements and translate real-world workflows into functioning AI products.

? Drive Product Performance – Define success metrics, evaluate how AI agents perform in production, identify failure points and continuously improve reliability and effectiveness.

? Shape Product Strategy – Own the roadmap for your agents, identify opportunities to expand their capabilities and turn individual customer requirements into scalable product solutions.

What They're Looking For:

✔ 3–5 years' experience in product management, technical product ownership or a similar role, ideally within a high-growth technology startup.

✔ Experience owning complex products or systems end-to-end, ideally at a startup with fewer than 200 employees.

✔ Strong technical aptitude and coding ability – comfortable reviewing code, working directly with engineers and using AI coding tools such as Cursor or Codex.

✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into functioning technical solutions.

✔ Strong communication and stakeholder management, comfortable working directly with customers, technical teams and senior leadership.

✔ High ownership, low ego and excited by an intense early-stage environment where you'll operate like a mini-founder, move quickly and solve problems without an existing playbook.

Why Join?

? Work at the forefront of AI and healthcare technology, building intelligent agents that are already supporting real clinical operations.

? Join a rapidly scaling, $60M-funded AI startup, founded in 2024, with a lean team of approximately 36 people and significant opportunities for ownership.

? $175,000–$250,000 base + competitive equity, with an estimated equity value of $50K–$75K annually at the current valuation.

? Take genuine ownership of an AI product portfolio, with the autonomy to shape product direction, make technical decisions and drive measurable real-world impact.

?️ Work alongside a highly technical founding and engineering team, using TypeScript, React, Node.js, AI/ML and LLMs to build and scale production AI systems.

? New York (Flatiron District), working in person with the team at least three days per week. Existing US work authorisation required; no visa sponsorship available.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious, technically minded product leader who wants to do more than manage a roadmap — taking genuine ownership of AI products, getting close to the code and customers, and building intelligent systems that are already changing how clinical care is delivered.
