Role Description The Project Manager at Shawn's Lawns, Inc. is a full-time, on-site role based in Poughkeepsie, NY. This position oversees excavation and site development projects from planning through completion, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers. Daily responsibilities include tracking project progress, managing budgets, reviewing plans and specifications, and ensuring work meets safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will handle logistics for equipment and materials, monitor inspections, address site issues, and keep stakeholders informed through clear, timely communication. The role involves frequent presence on job sites to verify work status, resolve operational challenges, and support efficient, safe execution of all activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with project coordination and Project Management in construction, excavation, or site development.


• Ability in Logistics Management to organize equipment, materials, deliveries, and crew assignments across multiple sites.


• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with crews, vendors, clients, and regulators.


• Proficiency with project management software and basic office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, scheduling applications).


• Knowledge of construction safety practices and relevant local regulations; OSHA training is an advantage.


• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.


• Relevant education or training in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
