Middle Office Technical Analyst, Portfolio Accounting (FIS VPM)

Contract | New York, NY | Onsite 3 days per week

A $1T global asset manager is seeking a business focused technologist with deep FIS VPM expertise to join its Credit Technology team, supporting the Middle Office and Controllers businesses. This is a long term, open ended contract.

Please note: 5+ years of hands on FIS VPM experience is required. Candidates without direct VPM platform experience will not be considered.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the primary VPM SME, owning configuration, data integrity and production support


• Lead platform upgrades, patches and new module implementations across technology, operations and vendor teams


• Build and maintain VPM interfaces and feeds with OMS, prime brokers, custodians and the general ledger


• Partner with Operations and Business Finance to define requirements and drive delivery within VPM


• Develop custom reports and dashboards supporting NAV, P&L and reconciliation workflows


• Act as the escalation point for VPM issues, delivering documented root cause analysis and permanent fixes


• Manage project plans, risks and issues, and develop test cases for QA

What you bring

• 10+ years of full SDLC experience, from requirements through testing


• 5+ years of hands on FIS VPM: configuration, data management, reporting and integration


• 3+ years with C#, Python, SQL and Excel macros is very nice to have


• Strong knowledge of middle office functions and credit instruments (bank loans, bonds, derivatives)


• Experience with data warehouse and BI platforms and data modeling


• Ability to work directly with business users and technical teams in a fast paced environment


• Advanced degree from a top university strongly preferred

Onsite in NYC three days per week, with some flexibility for the right person.
