Position Overview

We are seeking a technically driven Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in at least one of three core disciplines: embedded electronics and controls, power conversion, or motor control systems. This individual will provide technical direction across engineering programs, lead design and troubleshooting efforts, manage technical risks, and work directly with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver successful designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of approximately five engineers while remaining actively engaged in circuit design, technical analysis, debugging, and system development.


• Serve as the team's technical authority, providing design guidance, reviewing engineering work, and helping resolve complex technical challenges.


• Drive electrical design decisions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and program requirements.


• Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot difficult board-level and system-level issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.


• Provide technical coaching and help develop engineering capabilities across the team.


• Lead and participate in technical design reviews, including Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), and contribute to system-level engineering decisions.


• Present and defend technical approaches, design decisions, test results, and corrective actions to customers and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.


• Significant experience in electrical/electronic design, development, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems.


• Strong technical depth in at least one of the following: embedded electronics and controls, power conversion, or motor controls.


• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex electronic designs at the board and system levels.


• Experience with electronic test equipment, hardware debugging, circuit analysis, and design verification.


• Working knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout, and electrical CAD tools.


• Experience reviewing designs, guiding technical decisions, and mentoring or leading other engineers.


• Ability to assess technical risks, solve difficult engineering problems, and drive issues to resolution.


• Strong communication skills and experience participating in customer-facing technical discussions and design reviews.


• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a security clearance.
