Mechanical Engineer

JMS Engineering, LLC | Tampa, FL | Full-Time, In Office
Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience

JMS Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 0–4 years of experience to design HVAC systems for healthcare, commercial, and industrial projects. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction plans, specifications, calculations, and other technical deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations, select equipment, and design ductwork and piping systems.
• Prepare drawings using Revit and other engineering software.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines on project requirements and design.
• Attend project meetings and conduct site visits to document existing conditions and observe construction.
• Assist with construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to contractor questions.

Required Qualification

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Revit experience is a plus but is not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Training and mentorship will be provided. This position is based in our Tampa office.
