Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Water Treatment Operator role located in Centertown, KY. The Water Treatment Operator will monitor, operate, and adjust water and wastewater treatment systems to meet quality and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections of plant equipment, pump stations, and control systems; collecting and testing water samples; and recording operational data. The role also involves identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting with preventive maintenance, and following established safety procedures and environmental regulations. The operator will collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure reliable plant operations and timely response to operational issues.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in plant operations, including monitoring equipment, reading gauges, and maintaining safe and efficient facility performance.


• Candidates should possess skills in water treatment, including understanding treatment processes, chemical dosing, and compliance with water quality standards.


• Candidates should possess skills in wastewater treatment, including operation of treatment units, solids handling, and adherence to environmental regulations.


• Candidates should possess skills in process control and pump stations, including adjusting control settings, managing flow rates, and troubleshooting mechanical and control issues.


• Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in industrial or municipal treatment facilities, familiarity with OSHA safety practices, and ability to interpret technical manuals and standard operating procedures.


• Strong attention to detail, reliable recordkeeping, and effective communication skills are important for success in this role.


• High school diploma or equivalent required
