Role Description The Product Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role oversees the end-to-end development of new toy products, from concept generation and feasibility assessment through design, prototyping, testing, and launch. The Product Development Manager collaborates with R&D, design, marketing, and sales teams to align product features with market needs and brand strategy. Daily responsibilities include managing project timelines and budgets, coordinating cross-functional activities, reviewing prototypes and test results, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also involves analyzing market trends, gathering customer feedback, and continuously refining the product portfolio to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to evaluate trends, customer needs, and product performance.


• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and Product Management to guide products from concept to launch.


• Background in Sales or close collaboration with sales teams to align product offerings with commercial objectives.


• Proven project management skills, including timeline, budget, and stakeholder management.


• Knowledge of consumer product development, preferably in toys, games, or children’s products.


• Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards relevant to toy manufacturing.


• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.


• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Design, Product Management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.


• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
