Nocturnist | Independent Community Hospital Near Chicago

Join a well-established, employed hospital medicine program at an independent, not-for-profit community hospital that has been caring for patients through an in-house Hospitalist service since 2009. We're adding a full-time BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to our dedicated nocturnist team.
At Morris Hospital, you'll practice in a collaborative environment with outstanding specialty support, strong nursing and case management teams, and leadership committed to physician satisfaction.Position Highlights

• 7 on / 7 off schedule


• 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM


• One nocturnist in-house overnight


• Established Hospitalist program caring for approximately 95% of inpatient admissions


• Open ICU with specialty consultation readily available


• Average 30-32 patient daytime census shared among three daytime hospitalists, with 4-5 average admissions per night


• Intubations and lines preferred, but not required


• Meditech Expanse EMR with Dragon dictation


• Dedicated Hospitalist coding support


• Daily multidisciplinary rounds


• Excellent case management and social work support
