Human Resources Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews and pre employment requirements, including physicals and drug screenings.
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientations and prepare orientation materials and benefits packets.
• Review employment applications and maintain accurate personnel records.
• Respond to routine employee questions regarding company policies and procedures.
• Partner with managers on employee counseling and attendance related documentation.
• Generate and distribute routine HR reports, including absences, vacation, and employment activity.
• Maintain accurate HRIS data within the PLEX ERP system and personnel files.
• Process unemployment claims as needed.
• Create and manage job postings through Paycor.
• Coordinate company sponsored employee events and activities.
• Perform general HR administrative and clerical duties and assist with special projects as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 3–5 years of HR Assistant or HR Generalist experience, preferably within aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, and EEO.
• Experience with security compliance requirements; ITAR experience is a plus.
• Experience working with ERP or HRIS systems. PLEX experience preferred.
• Paycor experience is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. xevrcyc
