LHH Recruitment Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a global manufacturing organization seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a multi-site workforce in a highly collaborative and international environment. This position offers broad exposure across payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations while partnering with teams both domestically and abroad.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys balancing strategic HR support with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and administer payroll for approximately 200+ employees using ADP, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
- Manage payroll activities for a mixed workforce including hourly, salaried, exempt, and non-exempt employees.
- Support global payroll processes and assist with international employee administration, including shadow payroll activities and I-94 tracking.
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and employee relations matters.
- Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability programs, COBRA, unemployment claims, and leave administration.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and work closely with benefit vendors.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, terminations, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Assist with HR compliance efforts and maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Partner with Finance and business leadership on payroll reporting, tax-related matters, and workforce analytics.
- Participate in HR initiatives, process improvements, and employee engagement activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple countries and cultures to support global HR operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
- Demonstrated experience processing payroll through ADP.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and HR best practices.
- Experience administering employee benefits, unemployment claims, COBRA, and open enrollment programs.
- Proven employee relations experience including investigations, corrective actions, and performance management support.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similarly complex operational environment strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural business environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience
- ADP Workforce Now and/or global payroll experience.
- Exposure to international HR practices and payroll administration.
- Experience working with employees located in multiple countries.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or related HR certification.
Work Environment & Travel
- Primarily onsite position.
- Limited flexibility for occasional remote work may be available.
- Periodic domestic travel required, including travel to other company locations during benefits administration and open enrollment periods.
- Occasional international travel may be available.
