Sr. Analyst - Renewable Energy Finance

root/edge is partnering with growing clean energy finance teams on multiple openings at the analyst and senior analyst levels. These teams are in the middle of a busy period, closing financings on a steady flow of projects, and they are looking for sharp, curious people who want to build a career in energy finance.

In these roles you will work closely with experienced finance leaders on the financing of renewable energy projects. Day to day, that means building and maintaining financial models, analyzing project cash flows, supporting debt and tax equity transactions, and turning complex numbers into clear insights for senior leadership. You will be part of a collaborative, high performing team that invests in training and promotes from within, with a clear path to advancement.

What we’re looking for

• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, with cash flow modeling experience especially valued at the senior analyst level


• A numerical or analytical background, such as finance, accounting, economics, engineering, math, or another STEM field


• Experience in project finance, structured finance, banking, real estate finance, infrastructure, or a related area is a plus


• Tax equity experience is helpful but not required


• Attention to detail and the curiosity to dig in when a number doesn’t look right


• A hard working, team oriented attitude and comfort with a fast paced, deal driven environment


• Interest in the energy industry, though prior energy experience is not required
