Job Description

DIRECTOR OF SUPPLY CHAIN & OPERATIONS

ABOUT BRANCHOUT FOODS

BranchOut Foods (NASDAQ: BOF) makes better-for-you dried snacks processed using REV (Radiant Energy Vacuum) drying technology — a proprietary method that preserves color, flavor, and nutrition better than other drying methods. We own and operate a manufacturing facility in Peru with over 300 employees, and our products are sold through Sam's Club, Costco, and Target, as well as through a private label and industrial ingredients business.

We are a small, fast-moving team with US employees primarily in Bellevue, WA and Bend, OR. This hire will play a critical role in the company's continued growth and success by owning the supply chain and operational backbone of the company.

THE ROLE

Your goal - Deliver high quality product, on time, at the lowest cost possible.

The Supply Chain & Operations Lead owns the end-to-end operating system: from production output at our Peru factory to the shelf at major mass and club retailers. You will manage our logistics partners, co-packer, and distribution network, own production planning and inventory, and be accountable for the cost and reliability of everything that moves between those points.

Our supply chain today looks like this:

→ Peru factory produces bulk dried ingredients and ships via ocean freight to our co-packer

→ Co-packer packages branded product for large club chains, and private label product for mass retailers

→ Logistics companies manage distribution of product from our co packer to large club chains, warehousing and distribution of private label product to mass retailers

→ A parallel lane ships Peru ingredients via ocean freight to industrial ingredient customers

→ Packaging suppliers ship all packaging materials direct to the co-packer.

You will also implement and own the production vs. output monitoring system and vendor cost variance reporting that gives leadership real-time visibility into where the supply chain stands, and how actual costs are tracking vs projected costs.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Production & Inventory Planning

→ Own the production schedule: translate retailer POs and demand forecasts into required output targets for the Peru factory

→ Monitor production attainment weekly, escalate shortfalls to logistics and co packing partners before they become missed windows

→ Manage inventory positioning across warehouses to avoid out-of-stocks and excess

→ Build and maintain a rolling 12-week demand and inventory model

Logistics & Freight

→ Manage ocean shipping relationship across both ocean lanes

→ Coordinate ground transport legs to ensure on-time delivery to co packer and industrial ingredients customers

→ Own the freight cost model: track projected vs. actual costs per vendor per cycle; flag unfavorable variances

→ Drive the planning that will allow lowest cost ocean freight whenever possible.

Co-packer & Distribution Partner Management

→ Serve as primary point of contact for co packer on scheduling, packing materials receipt, production sequencing, and quality hold resolution

→ Coordinate packaging material orders and delivery timing to co packer

→ Manage trucking and logistics partners for on-time delivery and cost accountability

Retailer Compliance & EDI

→ Own EDI/ASN execution for major club and mass retail chains — accurate, on-time, and compliant

→ Manage CTPAT compliance and maintain required documentation

→ Own True Commerce or equivalent EDI platform

→ Proactively manage retailer compliance requirements to minimize chargebacks

Operational Cost Control

→ Maintain an active understanding of the commercial terms, rates, and expected costs for key supply chain partners, including freight, warehousing, co-packing, packaging, and logistics vendors.

→ Review and approve supply-chain-related vendor POs and invoices in partnership with Accounting to confirm that services, quantities, rates, freight lanes, accessorial charges, and timing align with expected terms before payment is processed.

→ Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in Peru production, freight, packaging, and co-packer operations

Reporting & Operating Rhythm

→ Produce a weekly supply chain status report covering: production attainment, active shipment status, retailer delivery windows, and open issues

→ Maintain active shipment tracker across all lanes and partners

→ Participate in weekly leadership team meeting; own the supply chain and ops agenda item

WHO YOU ARE

We're looking for someone who has done this before — ideally at a growing CPG or food manufacturing company — and wants real ownership rather than a defined role inside a large organization. Specifically:

→ 5-10 years in supply chain, logistics, or operations — ideally in food/CPG, with international freight experience

→ Hands-on with ocean freight, customs, port logistics, and domestic trucking — you've managed the full chain, not just one leg of it

→ Experience managing co-packers, 3PLs, and distribution partners — you know how to get results from external vendors

→ Comfort with data: you build your own trackers, variance reports, and dashboards rather than waiting for someone else to pull the numbers

→ Experience with retailer compliance programs for major mass-market retailers — you know what a chargeback is and how to prevent one

→ Strong communicator: you can write a clear weekly status report, flag a problem before it escalates, and represent the company professionally with external partners

→ Comfortable in a small company: no dedicated support team, no admin to book your travel, no playbook handed to you — you build the systems yourself

→ Able to potentially travel up to 2-3x per quarter to Peru manufacturing facility and/or co Packing operations in Dallas.

NICE TO HAVE

→ Experience with Latin American manufacturing or sourcing — Familiarity with Peru or broader LATAM supply chain complexity is a genuine plus

→ Food safety and regulatory background (FSMA, CTPAT, Kosher/organic certification support)

→ Experience with EDI platforms (True Commerce or equivalent) and ERP/inventory systems (NetSuite, etc) a plus

→ Spanish language proficiency — helpful for direct communication with Peru facility

→ Experience scaling supply chain through a retail velocity inflection — you've navigated what happens when mass customers reorder at 2x the original buy

→ Familiarity with ingredient and industrial food ingredient channels in addition to retail

WHAT WE OFFER

→ Real ownership from day one — you're not joining a supply chain team, you're building and running it

→ $120k - $150k salary, and bonus potential

→ Equity eligibility — we are a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: BOF) and believe in aligning compensation with company outcomes

→ Direct access to and partnership with the executive team — no layers, no bureaucracy

→ Self directed, remote work schedule - outside of travel to partners and semi annual employee gatherings.

→ A company at an inflection point: we've proven the product works at scale, the distribution is confirmed, and the operational challenge is the next frontier

→ Health benefits

THE HONEST PART

We're a small public company at an early stage - this role is dynamic. You'll be walking into a supply chain that works, but needs someone to own it properly and make it more efficient.

If you want a sharply-defined role with established systems and a team underneath you from day one, this probably isn't the right fit. If you want to be the person who builds those systems, works directly with leadership, and has a measurable impact on the company's financial trajectory, we'd like to talk to you.
