(Unpaid) Project Manager Internship

Project Management Intern — SideKix

Unpaid | 20 hours per week

SideKix turns whatever you’re facing into clear next steps and helps you take them. We’re looking for an organized, curious, solution-minded intern who wants to learn how teams turn ideas into finished projects.

What you’ll learn and support

• Build project plans, timelines, and task lists with guidance from a team mentor.


• Organize project materials, shared files, resources, and documentation.


• Help schedule meetings, coordinate calendars, and track deadlines.


• Help create and organize a social media content calendar.


• Assist with scheduling and publishing approved social media posts.


• Research grant opportunities, track eligibility and deadlines, and help prepare application materials.


• Research speaking opportunities and assist with speaker applications, proposals, and submission tracking.


• Help write and organize standard operating procedures (SOPs), documenting processes with team guidance.


• Help maintain project boards and document progress.


• Participate in meetings and capture decisions and next steps.


• Identify roadblocks and practice proposing solutions.


• Learn how product, design, engineering, marketing, and operations teams collaborate.


• Prepare project updates and receive feedback on your work.

What we’re looking for

• Clear communication, strong writing, and active listening skills.


• Organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.


• Research skills and the ability to turn information into clear documentation.


• Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to ask questions.


• Interest in project management, marketing, technology, or entrepreneurship.


• Availability for 20 hours per week, with scheduling that accommodates academic commitments.

Previous project management experience isn’t required. Experience organizing school projects, events, social media accounts, or student organizations is welcome.

Internship structure

This is a supervised learning opportunity with defined learning goals, regular mentorship, and a duration agreed upon before starting. This position reports directly to the Chief of Staff. It is unpaid and does not guarantee future employment. Academic credit may be coordinated where approved by your school.
