- Lead, coach, and develop a large, multi-shift team of managers, supervisors, and associates.
- Plan and execute high-volume turnover days, partnering with the front desk to make sure rooms are ready on time.
- Oversee in-house laundry and uniform room operations.
- Manage departmental budgets, review financial results, control expenses and overtime, and contribute to annual budget and capital planning.
- Oversee staffing schedules, weekly payroll, performance reviews, and associate training.
- Maintain inventory and par levels for guest supplies, cleaning products, linens, and uniforms.
- Coordinate with the front desk, engineering, and laundry teams to resolve guest concerns and support room readiness.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, quality audits, hotel policies, and applicable employment laws.
- Oversee equipment and chemical safety, key controls, lost-and-found procedures, and departmental operating procedures.
Must-Have Skills
- Progressive housekeeping leadership experience, as an Assistant Director, Director, or equivalent, in a full-service hotel, resort, casino, or comparable high-volume hospitality setting.
- Proven ability to lead large, diverse, multi-shift teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong grasp of departmental budgeting, expense and labor control, inventory management, and scheduling.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with a hotel property management system and ADP or similar payroll systems.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment handling, and safe operating practices.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with major hotel brand standards, quality assurance audits, or guest-satisfaction tracking tools.
- Commercial or in-house laundry management experience.
- Experience developing departmental procedures and partnering with engineering, front desk, and laundry teams.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity and civil rights requirements.

- Employer-paid short- and long-term disability for managers, including short-term disability at 100% of pay for up to six months
- Two weeks of vacation plus four floating holidays after 90 days
- The hotel closes for Christmas, and salaried managers don’t have to use vacation time for it
- Hotel travel discounts
- Discounted employee parking ($30/month)
- Annual holiday party
- Bonus program and relocation assistance available
- A supportive leadership team and a strong local talent pipeline for hourly staffing
