Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Architect specializing in Architecture as Code to define, implement, and govern enterprise and application architecture for cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong architectural expertise with hands-on technical knowledge and experience integrating architecture governance into modern software development and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise and application architecture for scalable, cloud-native platforms and products.


• Implement Architecture-as-Code principles, practices, standards, and governance frameworks.


• Develop reusable architecture patterns, reference implementations, and technical guidelines.


• Integrate architecture governance and compliance processes into SDLC and DevOps workflows.


• Provide architectural guidance for microservices, distributed systems, and domain-driven design.


• Conduct architecture reviews, technical validations, and compliance assessments.


• Collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and product teams to align solutions with enterprise architecture standards.


• Apply cybersecurity architecture principles and threat modeling practices.


• Integrate architecture solutions with CMDB, Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), and enterprise technology platforms.


• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise architecture, application architecture, or solution architecture.


• Practical experience with Architecture as Code and architecture governance.


• Hands-on knowledge of Java and Python.


• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies, particularly React.


• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and domain-driven design.


• Experience integrating architecture standards with SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.


• Knowledge of cybersecurity architecture and threat modeling.


• Experience with architecture reviews, compliance, and reusable design patterns.


• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Work Location Requirement

Candidates must be willing to work onsite three days per week at one of the specified locations: Charlotte, NC; Las Colinas, TX; or McLean, VA.
