Why This Role

This is a hands-on leadership seat for someone who wants ownership of the full accounting function, not just close-and-report, but treasury, tax, audit, AP/AR, and benefits administration all under one roof. The business runs fast-paced, high-volume, multi-location operations (including airport authority reporting), so no two months look the same. If you're tired of being one cog in a large finance org and want to actually run the shop while reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, this is built for that.

Position Overview

This person will lead a team, maintain strong internal controls, and serve as a key financial partner to operational leadership as the company continues to grow.

  • Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and foreign currency valuations

  • Submit required financial reports to airport authorities (JFK and LAX operations)
  • Oversee treasury functions: daily cash management, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, liquidity management
  • Oversee full AP and AR functions, including invoice review/coding and use tax compliance
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting;
    partner with business leaders on financial performance analysis
  • Assist with 401(k)/pension plan financial statements and ensure accurate, timely contribution submissions
  • Support insurance renewal process and related financial reporting

    CPA preferred
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a management/leadership capacity
  • Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, with hands-on experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and tax compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/accounting systems
  • Strong communicator, comfortable partnering with operational and executive leadership
