Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely
• Prepare bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Support AP and AR activities, including invoice processing, payments, and collections
• Assist with financial statement preparation and monthly reporting
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analysis as needed
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation to external auditors
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting schedules
• Assist with accounting projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Approximately 1 year of accounting experience
• Internship or public accounting experience is a plus
• Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with an ERP/accounting system
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
