Finance Accounting Technician II

This position supports the financial operations of Fauquier County Government and Public Schools through a variety of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records, prepare journal entries, and reconcile accounts and bank statements.


• Prepare financial reports and track expenditures, revenues, and general ledger activity.


• Review financial transactions, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.


• Assist with annual audits, compliance reporting, and internal financial reviews.


• Provide accounting support, guidance, and training to County and School Division departments.


• Support financial processes related to accounts receivable, purchasing cards, and capital assets.
