About the role Patagon Search is recruiting a Litigation Team Lead for a confidential client, a nationally recognized plaintiff-side firm. The firm represents survivors of sexual abuse in civil litigation against institutional defendants and is a national leader in this practice area. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll lead your own litigation team, made up of an associate, a paralegal and a legal assistant, with shared investigator support. You'll run a docket of meaningful, high-impact cases from intake through resolution. There are no billable hour or business development requirements. The focus is on litigating cases well. Prior sexual abuse litigation experience is not required. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of civil cases from pleadings through discovery, motion practice, mediation and trial Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses, institutional representatives and experts Lead, supervise and mentor an associate and support staff Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions Work with experts and develop case strategy alongside firm leadership Requirements J.D. and admission to the Maryland bar (or eligibility for prompt admission) 7 years of strong civil litigation experience Substantial personal injury experience, plaintiff or defense side (insurance defense, premises, auto, construction, med-mal and similar backgrounds are all welcome) Extensive deposition experience; trial experience is a plus Strong writing, case-management and supervisory skills Comfortable working fully in-office in Baltimore City Compensation and benefits Base salary up to approximately $265,000, depending on experience Annual bonuses that have historically ranged from $20,000 to $50,000 100% of employee healthcare premiums covered 401(k) with 5% employer match Two straight weeks off over the holidays No billable hour or origination requirements How to apply Apply through this posting or send your resume directly to Andrew@PatagonSearch.com.
