Pharmacist

Position Details:

Role: Pharmacist

Location: Merrilville/ Gary, IN 46402

Duration: 3+ month assignment with the possible extension

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Inpatient Pharmacists to provide interim coverage at a hospital with an average daily census of approximately 300 patients. Candidates must have recent inpatient pharmacy experience, an active Indiana pharmacist license, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient pharmacy duties to support safe and effective medication use.


• Review and process medication orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established pharmacy protocols.


• Support medication dispensing, verification, and related pharmacy operations.


• Participate in sterile compounding activities as required.


• Utilize pharmacy systems and automated dispensing technologies to support daily operations.


• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.


• Provide pharmacy support to specialty areas, including neuroscience and oncology, as needed.


• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and medication safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana pharmacist license.


• Recent experience working as an Inpatient Pharmacist in a hospital setting.


• Experience with sterile compounding.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.


• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.


• Strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to a dynamic clinical environment.
