SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Lodestar Energy is seeking a Project Finance analyst for its growing Project Finance team. The analyst will assist in maintaining Excel-based financial models, preparing and distributing management reports, and managing M&A, debt, and tax equity

transactions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Lodestar Energy is a small company with large-company capabilities. We pride ourselves on flexibility for employees, with a hybrid approach built around individual needs. We have offices in New York City and West Hartford, Connecticut. This role is based in Midtown Manhattan and offers the opportunity to travel to solar and storage projects undergoing financings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update and ultimately own financial models for Lodestar’s solar and energy storage projects


• Work hand-in-hand with project developers to guide decision making on new project opportunities, ultimately helping present to the Investment Committee


• Manage virtual data rooms and Q&A requests for live project M&A, debt, and tax equity transactions


• Synthesize project information into concise summaries for management


• Respond promptly and accurately to lenders, investors, and bankers and take notes on intel, next steps


• Liaise between the policy, development, and corporate finance teams to sharpen financial modelling assumptions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated interest in renewable energy and desire to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.


• Experience with finance, transactions, renewable energy, or real-estate development preferred.


• Strong organizational skills with ability to quickly prioritize and offer solutions to problems.


• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.


• Demonstrated experience working in intellectually demanding and nuanced roles.


• Ability to work independently; driven and self-motivated.


• Comfort navigating complex problems and diving into dense issues.


• Proactive, results-oriented with ability to meet timelines.

RENUMERATION

$75,000-$85,000 plus bonus opportunity
