R&D Lab Technician

Capstone Search Advisors is partnering with a building materials organization to identify an R&D Lab Technician to join its laboratory team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a scientifically minded professional with a background in chemistry or a related field who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, product development, and materials testing.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and improvement of building materials products while supporting quality control and product performance initiatives.

On-the-job training will be provided, making this an opportunity to further develop your technical expertise while working alongside an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities to create new products and improve existing formulations.


• Design and perform laboratory experiments to support product development and performance evaluation.


• Conduct quality control testing on raw materials and finished products.


• Perform materials testing to assess product consistency, quality, and compliance with specifications.


• Support customer-specific testing and product performance investigations.


• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data to support technical decision-making.


• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results, and experimental documentation.


• Collaborate with cross-functional team members on research projects and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Participate in training to expand technical skills and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline required.


• Strong understanding of scientific principles and laboratory practices.


• Experience or interest in research and development, formulation work, or materials testing.


• Ability to conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively while managing laboratory tasks and priorities.


• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving project requirements.


• Previous laboratory or chemistry experience preferred.
