Job Title: Sourcing Manager

Location: Knoxville, TN. Relocation assistance may be available.

Compensation: $70k - $80k + bonus and benefits, including insurance and 401(k)

Job Summary:

We’re a nationwide food manufacturer looking for a Sourcing Manager who knows the ingredient supply world. You’ll make sure we have reliable primary and backup suppliers for every ingredient and packaging material our recipes need, so production keeps running when a supplier runs short or drops a product. This role reports to the Vice President and works closely with R&D and Production on new product launches. If you’ve built a broad network of food ingredient suppliers, not just a handful of vendors, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years in ingredient sourcing, procurement, or purchasing in food manufacturing or food service


• Established relationships across a broad range of food ingredient suppliers and distributors, with knowledge of secondary/backup sources (not limited to a narrow product line)


• Track record of negotiating pricing, running competitive bids and RFPs, and managing supplier contracts


• Understanding of commodity markets and how they affect ingredient pricing


• Experience with supplier qualification, specifications, letters of guarantee, and SQF/food safety requirements


• Strong analytical and forecasting skills; advanced MS Office skills


• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred


• Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings (refrigerated/frozen areas, moving equipment)
