Synapse Data Group develops AI-powered technology products, including Eye, an AI visibility and observability platform that helps businesses understand how their brands and competitors appear across AI-powered answer engines. We are building a portfolio of technology products with ambitious commercial and growth objectives.

Role Description

We are seeking a Fractional Head of Fundraising & Investor Relations to lead the fundraising process for Eye, working directly with the founder.

Our immediate objective is to raise a seed round targeting $1M–$10M, subject to investor interest, due diligence and the company's funding requirements. We are looking for an experienced professional who can bring established investor relationships, secure qualified introductions and lead the fundraising process from investor targeting through to closing.

This is a hands-on, results-oriented engagement for someone with a demonstrable track record of raising capital for early-stage technology companies. The successful candidate will develop our investor strategy, identify relevant venture capital firms and investors, manage investor communications, strengthen fundraising materials, coordinate due diligence and support negotiations alongside our professional advisers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute Eye's fundraising strategy.


• Identify and engage relevant venture capital firms, angel investors and strategic investors.


• Leverage established relationships to secure qualified introductions to investment decision-makers.


• Manage the investor pipeline, meetings, follow-ups and due diligence through to closing.


• Support the development of investor presentations, financial projections and fundraising materials.


• Advise the founder on investor positioning, fundraising strategy and deal structures.


• Provide transparent reporting on investor engagement and fundraising progress.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience leading or materially contributing to successfully completed pre-seed or seed rounds.


• Established relationships with relevant venture capital and technology investors.


• Verifiable examples of previous fundraising outcomes and your personal contribution.


• Strong knowledge of venture financing, investor due diligence and term-sheet negotiations.


• Excellent communication, commercial judgement and relationship-management skills.


• Ability to operate independently and work directly with a founder in a fractional capacity.

Compensation and Engagement

This is a remote, fractional contract opportunity with performance-based compensation of 2–5% of capital successfully raised, subject to agreement on the scope of work, attribution of funds raised and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The engagement is primarily success-fee based; no fixed salary or retainer is currently offered. Any alternative compensation arrangement would be discussed and agreed in advance.
