Summary:
A client of ours is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant to support a large, multi-entity healthcare services organization with annual revenue exceeding $500M. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong GL and revenue accounting experience who can navigate a complex environment, resolve accounting discrepancies, and help improve processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and flux analysis.
- Analyze complex accounts receivable, deferred revenue, bad debt reserves, and revenue recognition.
- Maintain accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP.
- Partner with leadership and operational teams to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore accounting teams to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help standardize accounting procedures across multiple systems and business units.
- Support external audits and related reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong general ledger and close experience.
- Experience in a complex, multi-entity organization with $500M+ in annual revenue.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies across large data sets and multiple systems.
- Proven ability to improve processes and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Healthcare, dental, or medical services experience is a major plus, particularly exposure to insurance receivables, third-party payors, and complex revenue streams. Experience with offshore accounting teams, ERP systems, and a CPA are also preferred, but not required.
