Role Description

Maverick Bank is seeking a relationship-driven banking professional to join our team in Commercial Banking in Monahans, Texas.

This role is designed for a commercial lender who is passionate about customer relationships, community engagement, and local market growth. The position focuses on expanding Maverick Bank’s presence in the Monahan's market by developing commercial lending and deposit relationships while delivering exceptional service to local businesses.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, strong credit skills, and a commitment to growing the bank’s commercial portfolio through high-quality customer service and strategic relationship management.

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate market data, assess risk, and support sound investment decisions.


• Candidates should possess Finance and Investments skills to understand financial instruments, asset classes, and portfolio construction principles.


• Candidates should possess Portfolio Management skills to design, manage, and rebalance portfolios aligned with client objectives.


• Candidates should possess Trading skills to execute trades accurately, monitor positions, and adhere to compliance and risk guidelines.


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) are a plus.


• Experience in banking, wealth management, or investment advisory services, ideally working with individual and small-business clients.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and build trust with clients.


• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical standards.


• Ability to work effectively on-site in Lubbock, TX, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a community-focused environment.
