Logistics Lead – Telecom Infrastructure Program
Location: On-Site — Los Angeles, CA (No remote or hybrid options; relocation required if non-local)
Timeline: Immediate Start – August 2028 (Program Closeout & Reconciliation)
Reporting To: Head of Operations
Security Clearance: Mandatory federal background investigation (FBI / U.S. Secret Service level for NSSE credentialing; U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required)
The Mission: Architecting the Physical Delivery Engine
On behalf of our client, the primary telecommunications partner for a major multi-venue athletic and technology program, we are seeking a senior-level Logistics Lead. In this role, you will build and own the end-to-end logistics function from scratch to support the design, build, and operation of complete telecom infrastructure—including private 5G, WAN, venue LAN, cabling, mobile services, fixed telephony, and push-to-talk systems—across 30+ major venues and 60+ delivery points across the Greater Los Angeles area.
This is not a traditional warehouse management or coordination role. As a high-authority Subject Matter Expert (SME) and supply chain program architect reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will build the physical execution backbone from zero. You will select and manage the central warehouse, configure lifecycle asset tracking platforms, define MTBF-driven multi-tier spares strategies, and lead venue distribution through post-program closeout. If you are a methodical, documentation-driven logistics engineer who has directed the supply chain engine behind major wireless network rollouts or global multi-venue deployments, this is your opportunity to write the playbook.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain & Central Warehouse Operations:
- Select, establish, staff, and run the central regional warehouse facility responsible for receiving, staging, and distributing equipment across core service packages.
- Direct end-to-end supply chain management: procurement coordination, order tracking, inbound logistics, customs clearance, shipping/receiving, and inventory control.
- Coordinate precision equipment deliveries to 60+ venues, tightly synchronized with venue construction, cabling, and installation schedules.
- Oversee reverse logistics, managing post-event tear-down, equipment collections, asset recovery, and physical reconciliation across all venues.
- Asset Management Lifecycle & Tracking Systems:
- Implement, configure, and own a full-lifecycle asset tracking platform integrated with ServiceNow ITSM and master Integrator asset systems.
- Align physical and logical asset inventories with Technology Equipment Allocation Processes (TEAP) and venue Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Maintain 100% equipment traceability across both venue locations and the Network/Technology Operations Center (TOC); execute mandatory reconciliation audits at key program milestones and post-program closeout.
- Multi-Tier Spares Strategy & RMA Management:
- Define and implement a math-based spares strategy dimensioned against Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) for executive approval.
- Establish and oversee a 3-tier inventory structure:
- Tier 1: On-venue operational spares (immediate swap)
- Tier 2: Venue basic spares (rapid replacement)
- Tier 3: Central defect spares (same-day / next-day replenishment)
- Manage advance replacement inventory, vendor Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) pipelines, and warranty return logistics.
- Process Architecture & Governance:
- Build all logistics operational frameworks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and staging/kitting/labeling/sign-out workflows from the ground up.
- Produce regular executive briefings, status reports, and KPI dashboards for program leadership.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- 8+ Years of Specialized Experience: Dedicated logistics leadership within telecom network deployments (RAN, Macro, DAS) or large-scale international event/stadium deployments. General retail, e-commerce, or standard commercial warehousing experience will not qualify.
- Systems Configuration: Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and maintaining an asset management platform end-to-end (system integrity, lifecycle management, physical-to-logical tracking).
- Spares Design: Proven experience engineering multi-tier spares architectures and inventory sizing using MTBF formulas and strict replenishment SLAs.
- Framework Creation: Demonstrated ability to build supply chain frameworks, SOPs, and governance models from zero in ambiguous environments with no pre-existing playbooks.
- Physical Presence: 100% on-site commitment in Los Angeles, CA through August 2028 closeout. Relocation required if not local.
- Security Clearances: Must pass a comprehensive federal background check (FBI / U.S. Secret Service level) due to National Special Security Event (NSSE) designation. Requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior logistics leadership at a major international tournament, championship, or multi-venue global deployment.
- Direct experience with TEAP (Technology Equipment Allocation Process) or equivalent large-scale technology demand-planning processes.
- Hands-on integration experience between logistics workflows and ServiceNow ITSM platforms.
- Experience managing Push-to-Talk (PPTT) device fleets and high-volume multi-venue distribution.
- Professional supply chain certification (APICS CSCP, CPSM, or PMP).
- Experience with technology asset legacy/reuse and sustainability programs.
I
deal Candidate Profile
You are a methodical logistics engineer or senior telecom deployment manager who excels under high stakes and time pressure. You combine big-picture architectural strategy (budgeting, SLA management, system integrations) with granular technical execution (BOM validations, equipment kitting, and multi-site metropolitan transit). You do not need a playbook—you write it.
Recruiter Note:We are strictly evaluating candidates who combine big-picture supply chain strategy with hands-on field execution. Please ensure your resume explicitly details your specific experience with telecom/event logistics, MTBF calculations, and asset tracking system implementation.
