Industrial Equipment Technician –

Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Equipment Technician to join our client's team. This is a hands-on position focused on assembling/disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, organizing, and preparing industrial equipment and components for storage or future use.

The ideal candidate has experience working with mechanical equipment, is comfortable using hand and power tools, and can figure out how mechanical assemblies fit together and come apart. Forklift and overhead crane experience are highly preferred.

• Disassemble industrial equipment and mechanical components using hand and power tools.
• Clean equipment and components using pressure washers, parts washers, and other cleaning methods.
• Inspect equipment and parts for wear, damage, or other potential issues.
• Use mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to determine how equipment and assemblies should be safely disassembled.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move, load, and unload equipment and materials.
• Organize, label, and store equipment and components in designated locations.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and storage containers as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required paperwork.

Qualifications Required:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with mechanical equipment or assemblies.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies and figure out how components fit together or come apart.
• Forklift operating experience.
• Overhead crane operating experience.
