Product Development Manager

Overview

We are seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the process of researching, prototyping, and bringing new products to market across multiple manufacturing categories. This role requires a combination of analytical market research skills, creative problem-solving, and hands-on prototyping and factory coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Analysis

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities across various product categories


• Pitch identified product concepts to management based on research

Product Concept Development

• Collaborate with designers to develop prototypes for new product ideas


• Coordinate the sampling process, ensuring timely revisions and improvements based on feedback

Production Coordination

• Source suppliers that specialize in relevant product categories


• Collaborate with design and technical teams to generate BOMs


• Track and evaluate lap dips, strike offs and sample submissions


• Daily factory communication via email


• Track and maintain Work in Process report via PLM system


• Monitor Timing and Action calendar

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in apparel production, preferably in children’s apparel


• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


• Excellent communication and organizational skill


• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
