Wholesale Insurance Broker

Job Description:

A leading national wholesale brokerage firm is seeking a Wholesale Insurance Broker to join their dynamic team. This role involves managing and expanding a profitable book of business across various commercial and specialty insurance markets. The successful candidate will leverage existing relationships and develop new partnerships to drive growth, working in a remote environment with flexible territorial boundaries. Their expertise will help deliver tailored insurance solutions to retail agents, producers, and clients nationwide, supported by an extensive carrier network and a focus on building long-term industry relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and grow a profitable book of wholesale insurance business by leveraging existing relationships and cultivating new retail agent and producer partnerships.


• Build and strengthen relationships with independent retail agencies and insurance producers throughout licensed territories.


• Generate new business opportunities across various lines including general property and casualty, cyber, professional liability, and other specialty commercial lines.


• Pursue specialized classes of business and niche markets based on individual experience, relationships, and past production success.


• Utilize carrier relationships to identify suitable markets, negotiate competitive terms and develop creative coverage solutions.


• Collaborate with retail agents and producers to understand client exposures, evaluate insurance needs, and provide tailored coverage options.


• Drive production and profitability while consistently working toward or exceeding established business goals.


• Independently manage business development, marketing and relationship-building activities in a remote work environment.


• Contribute to the firm's growth by expanding market presence, strengthening producer relationships and developing long-term business opportunities.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of wholesale insurance brokerage experience, with flexibility for more experienced candidates


• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding production goals in current or previous roles


• An established network of retail insurance agents, producers and industry relationships


• Experience in general property and casualty, cyber or professional liability or a strong background in a related specialty insurance segment


• Excellent reputation within the insurance marketplace and ability to develop lasting relationships


• Demonstrated business development skills and success in generating new opportunities from existing networks


• Entrepreneurial and self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote setting

Salary Range:

The anticipated salary for this position is $95,000.00 annually. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
