The Position

A leading international law firm is seeking Corporate Associates to join its Chicago office. This is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious attorneys to work on sophisticated, high-value corporate transactions within a globally recognized practice, advising public and private companies, private equity sponsors, financial investors, and other major market participants on complex business matters.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and other significant domestic and cross-border deals. Associates will work closely with experienced practitioners on all stages of transactions, from structuring and due diligence through negotiation, documentation, and closing, gaining valuable experience across industries and deal types.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school and admission to the Illinois Bar, or eligibility for admission.


• Relevant experience in corporate law, ideally gained at a leading law firm or within a sophisticated transactional practice.


• Experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures, corporate governance, or other complex corporate transactions.


• Familiarity with transaction structuring, due diligence, drafting and negotiating definitive agreements, and managing transaction execution.


• Exposure to cross-border transactions or international corporate matters is an advantage.


• Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical, drafting, research, and problem-solving skills.
