Accounting Manager

Ascendo Resources is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for a full-time, on-site role. Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 with full benefits.

Our client is a well-established, family-owned professional services company within construction and civil engineering in Northern Westchester.

We're looking for a sharp, self-motivated accounting professional to run the financial side of the business, working directly with ownership.

This isn't a role where you're a small piece of a big machine. You'll be the go-to person for billing, bookkeeping, payroll and municipal bids, and what you do will show up in the business right away.

What you'll own:

• Invoicing, payments, customer statements and A/R follow-up
• Day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly bank reconciliations in QuickBooks
• Weekly payroll, from verifying time records to processing it
• Preparing municipal project bids with the owner
• Truck registrations, permits and state reporting

What you bring:

• Strong QuickBooks skills (Desktop now; QuickBooks Online experience is a big plus because they're about to switch)
• Good Excel skills
• A self-starter who stays organized while juggling many things
• Industry experience not required
