Grand Junction, CO Contract $2,427/week ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team in Grand Junction, CO. In this contract role, you will provide comprehensive direct care to patients requiring medical and surgical intervention in a fast-paced clinical setting. This position offers night shifts with 3x12-hour scheduling, maintaining a 1:6 patient-to-nurse ratio. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Provide high-quality direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, maintaining a 1:6 patient ratio - Monitor patient vital signs, perform health assessments, and administer medications and treatments - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans - Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records during night shifts (3x12-hour shifts) - Demonstrate clinical flexibility and adapt to unit priorities while adhering to hospital standards WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado or a Compact state - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - At least 1 year of registered nursing experience (1.5 to 2 years preferred) - Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher - Flexibility to work night shifts (3x12s) and assist with coverage for 2 of 3 major holidays - No block scheduling requests NICE TO HAVE - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS / NIH) certification - Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Pay: $2,427/week - Schedule: Night shift (3x12-hour shifts) - Work Environment: 1:6 patient-to-nurse ratio - Hiring Process: Expedited evaluation with same-day interviews available read more
