Mechanical Assembler

Pinnacle Converting Equipment has an immediate opening for an Industrial Mechanical Assembly Technician in our Charlotte, NC facility. Candidates will be drug tested and required to pass a background check as a condition for employment.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to read AutoCad created assembly drawings.
• Ability to work with Mechanical Engineering staff.
• Use mechanical and pneumatic drawings to assemble complex mechanical machines used in the roll handling / converting industry.
• Work with welders and machinists to prioritize parts for assembly.
• A strong understanding of mechanical components (gears, pulleys, gearboxes, bearings, etc.)
• Understanding of various bolt sizing and head types (socket head, button head, etc.)
• Skilled in use of hand tools and power tools (handheld drill, mag drill, portable band saw, etc.)
• Skilled use of precision measuring tools (micrometers, Calipers, bore gauges, etc.)
• Understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic systems and installation methodologies for cylinders and solenoids.
• Skilled and safe use of overhead crane and other rigging equipment.
• Ability to safely lift up to 80 lbs. at one time.
• Machine shop experience is preferred but not required.
• Fork Lift Operator Certification is a plus.
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality system is a plus.
