Business Development Specialist – Real Estate & Tax

Location: Manhattan, Financial District

Salary: $95,000 - $135,000

Summary:

The Business Development Specialist supports the firm’s global Real Estate & Tax practice by partnering with lawyers and the Business Development team to help drive strategic marketing and client development initiatives. This role focuses on preparing client-facing materials, conducting market research, maintaining marketing databases, and coordinating visibility initiatives to support the growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare pitch materials, RFP responses, and deal sheets for partners and clients
• Conduct market and competitive intelligence research
• Assist with league table and directory submissions
• Maintain practice experience, pitches, and contacts in the firm’s CRM system
• Update lawyer biographies and marketing materials across platforms
• Support marketing events, conferences, and practice visibility initiatives
• Collaborate with Communications, Digital Marketing, and global BD teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment
• Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred
