Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department

Location

Houston, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Mid Shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with emergency procedures including intubation and central line placement
• Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators and Baxter IV pumps
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Respond to emergency situations and deliver timely, high-quality patient care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, medics, and unit secretaries

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• Demonstrated patient care and emergency response skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• Experience with intubation and central line procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse or similar EMR platforms
• Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to a fast-paced emergency environment
