Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, lead production teams, and drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing resources, developing employees, and ensuring customer demands are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations across multiple departments and shifts.


• Develop and manage production schedules based on customer demand, staffing, materials, and equipment capacity.


• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and employees.


• Monitor production performance, address bottlenecks, and improve workflow efficiency.


• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.


• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and HR to resolve operational issues.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and root-cause analysis.


• Track key performance metrics, including productivity, downtime, scrap, labor utilization, and schedule attainment.


• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, control costs, and improve equipment utilization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in production leadership or supervision.


• Experience managing production schedules, staffing, and performance across multiple departments or shifts.


• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably metal fabrication, welding, coating, or assembly.


• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methods.


• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing planning or reporting systems.


• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
