Mid-Level Litigation Associate

Job Summary:

Kim & Serritella LLP, a boutique law firm, is currently seeking an exceptional mid-level litigation associate who has substantial experience drafting legal briefs in connection with dispositive and discovery motions and conducting legal research on complex and sophisticated issues; can operate independently; can think critically when presented with complicated and novel legal issues and come up with solutions; and can work collaboratively with small or large teams. A solid legal writer, effective communicator and ability to think critically are a must. The ideal candidate will also have 3-5 years of experience in U.S. federal and state courts and a demonstrated interest in investor-related lawsuits, securities litigation and/or crypto related litigation. Experience working at a boutique to mid-size law firm and a demonstrated commitment to pro bono are a plus. This is a position at a small and growing modern firm, where everyone pulls up their sleeves and has a can-do attitude. While busy, it is a collegial work environment where willingness to work and learn is valued. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting involved in a business at an early and growing stage. NY Bar required (NJ and CA bar a plus). No billable hour requirement.

The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 annually, commensurate with experience; medical, dental, vision and 401(k) offered.

Required skills:

· Sophisticated legal research and legal writing

· Ability to effectively communicate (in both written and oral form) with clients

· Ability to anticipate needs of partner and clients

· Ability to think outside-the-box and have comfort in novel legal arguments and theories

· Strong instinct for advocacy; professional and dignified but intelligently aggressive a plus

· Curious mind with a strong interest in the law and the craft of law

· Familiarity and comfort with investment and finance subjects

· Familiarity with crypto a plus, but comfort diving into the unknown if no prior experience required

· Experience in investor representation a plus

· Extreme detail orientation

Qualifications:

· JD from accredited top law school

· High academic achievement

· 3-5 years experience in commercial litigation practice group of law firm

· Technology-savvy
