Job Description: Senior AutoSys / Workload Automation Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AutoSys / Workload Automation Engineer to support an enterprise technology modernization initiative. The organization has announced the end of life (EOL) for existing technologies and is transitioning to standardized tools and platforms, with a primary focus on migrating from iXP to Workload Control Center (WCC).
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AutoSys administration, Enterprise Environment Manager (EEM), WCC implementation and configuration, and the existing iXP front end. This role requires an engineer who can design, implement, configure, and customize enterprise scheduling solutions rather than simply operate or monitor an existing platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the modernization of enterprise workload automation technologies, including the transition from iXP to WCC.
- Design, implement, configure, and customize WCC to meet enterprise scheduling and workload management requirements.
- Administer and configure AutoSys workload automation environments, including job scheduling, dependencies, and workflow execution.
- Implement and maintain EEM security policies, access controls, and authentication configurations.
- Analyze existing iXP functionality and configurations to support a successful transition to WCC.
- Develop technical solutions and implementation strategies aligned with enterprise architecture and standardization requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across AutoSys, EEM, WCC, and related scheduling components.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and enterprise technology teams to coordinate implementations and resolve dependencies.
- Support testing, validation, documentation, and deployment activities to ensure successful platform transitions.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in AutoSys administration or closely related enterprise workload scheduling administration.
- Strong hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and managing Enterprise Environment Manager (EEM).
- Proven experience configuring EEM security policies, permissions, and access controls.
- Strong hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and customizing Workload Control Center (WCC).
- Required experience with iXP, including an understanding of its role as the existing front end being transitioned to WCC.
- Demonstrated ability to design technical solutions and implement enterprise scheduling tools from a configuration and architecture perspective.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise IT environments.
- Ability to work across technical teams and support complex technology modernization initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise platform migrations, technology modernization, and end-of-life transitions.
- Experience standardizing workload automation tools and processes across enterprise environments.
- Strong technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical specialist with deep AutoSys and enterprise scheduling experience, strong EEM security expertise, and proven WCC implementation capabilities. They must understand the existing iXP environment and be capable of driving the technical transition to WCC, including solution design, configuration, customization, troubleshooting, and implementation.
