Job Description

Our client is a vertically integrated real estate development and investment company specializing in the acquisition, development, and management of commercial and residential properties. Their integrated platform enables them to execute on strategic opportunities across the entire real estate lifecycle.

Position Overview

The Analyst/Associate, Investments and Asset Management will support the underwriting and execution of new investments as well as the financial and operational performance of their existing real estate portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Investments and Asset Management, this role is hands-on and analytical: you will build and maintain financial models, underwrite acquisitions, dispositions, and development opportunities, support capital raising for projects and funds, track asset performance against underwriting, and help execute business plans across a mixed-use multifamily and commercial portfolio. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career candidate to build a foundation across the full asset lifecycle, learn directly from senior investment professionals, and grow into greater ownership over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, underwrite, and help execute real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development opportunities, including financial and feasibility analysis across all phases of investment, financing, and development

  • Assist in creating and implementing business plans that enhance property value through operational improvements, capital investments, and strategic initiatives to maximize returns

  • Track monthly and quarterly financial performance across assigned assets, including budget-to-actual variance analysis, cash flow, and key performance metrics

  • Work closely with property management teams to achieve performance targets and ensure operational excellence

  • Build and maintain asset-level, development, portfolio roll-up, and fund financial models, including cash flow projections, valuations, and detailed waterfall projections to forecast returns and investor distributions

  • Support the annual business planning and budgeting process in coordination with property management teams

  • Prepare investment memoranda, investment analyses, performance reports, and presentation materials for senior leadership and investment committee review

  • Monitor asset performance against underwriting and business plan assumptions, flagging variances and helping evaluate corrective actions

  • Conduct market research on submarket conditions, comparable properties, competitive positioning, and emerging trends

  • Source and validate project- and market-level pro forma assumptions, working with internal teams, brokers, and market research providers to ensure assumptions reflect current market conditions

  • Visit properties across the portfolio as needed to conduct site inspections, tour comparable properties, and support on-site initiatives alongside property management teams

  • Support reporting to joint venture partners, lenders, and institutional investors, including quarterly reporting packages and ad hoc information requests

  • Support capital strategy and capital raise activity, including project-level equity and debt financings and fund raises (including Opportunity Zone funds), from inception through close, in coordination with the Capital Markets team

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the capital markets, development, finance, and operations teams
