Advanced Practice Nurse

Pay: Starting at $68.00 per hour

Schedule: 3, 4, or 5 full days per week

Benefits: Available for employees working 30+ hours per week

New Jersey Brain and Spine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our established neurosurgery practice.

We offer flexibility for candidates interested in working 4 or 5 full days per week. This is an outpatient position working collaboratively with our neurosurgeons and APP team to care for patients with a variety of brain and spine conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new, follow-up, and post-operative patients


• Perform histories and physicals and develop treatment plans


• Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing


• Provide post-operative care, including incision checks, suture/staple removal, medication management, and VP shunt evaluation/adjustment as appropriate


• Triage patient calls and electronic communications


• Prescribe medications as clinically appropriate


• Work closely with physicians and other APPs to support patient care and clinic workflow

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program


• ANCC or AANP board certification


• Active New Jersey APN license


• New Jersey CDS and DEA licenses


• BLS certification


• Prior Nurse Practitioner experience preferred, particularly in neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, spine, or another surgical specialty
