Job Description

Elves Across America – State Leadership Team

Position Type: 100% Remote Volunteer Leadership Role

Duration: 10-Week Commitment (Immediate start through the end of the holiday season)

Time Commitment: Variable hours depending on the phase of the season (Must have availability during standard business hours):

  • Weeks 1–6 (Front Half / Peak Onboarding): ~10–15 hours per week (higher workload to onboard nonprofits, build local business partnerships, and set up event schedules).

  • Weeks 7–10 (Mid-to-Late December / Wrap-Up): ~5–8 hours per week (workload slows down significantly as missions wrap up and distributions complete).

⚠️ IMPORTANT COMMITMENT NOTE: This is a crucial state leadership role. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to the entire 10-week duration. Our partner nonprofits and businesses rely on consistent leadership throughout the holiday season!
✨ About Elves Across America

Elves Across America is a magical, nationwide volunteer network dedicated to ensuring no community is left without cheer during the holiday season. We are currently launching our state-by-state operations and are looking for highly motivated, joy-spreading volunteer leaders to step into our Level 2 Command!

? The Role: What is the "Elf of Merry Operations"?

As the Elf of Merry Operations, you are the official volunteer captain of your state’s Sleigh Center. During our launch phase, you will be the solo leader acting as the primary bridge between National Elf Command and your home state.

You will wear two very important hats:

  1. The Magic Hat (Nonprofits): You will serve as the dedicated Point of Contact for local partner nonprofits and charities—consider these your official "Toy Shops"!

  2. The Operations Hat (Businesses): You will serve as the POC for Elf-Approved Businesses, recruiting and assisting corporate sponsors on our "Nice List."

This is a State Leadership Volunteer Role and an incredible opportunity for college students, recent graduates, or young professionals looking to build high-level management, customer service, and B2B/B2C networking skills on their resume while doing incredible good for their community!

? Your Merry Responsibilities

  • Nonprofit Point of Contact: You will serve as the dedicated POC for nonprofits ("Toy Shops"), assisting in the onboarding process and the setup of each nonprofit account within our system. You will assist in the creation of their holiday needs, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming holiday events, ensuring our resources and toys go exactly where they are needed most.

  • Corporate Sleigh-Building: Answer questions and serve as the Point of Contact for our "Nice List" of Official Elf-Approved Businesses. Help coordinate any volunteer group outings or giveback events.

  • Logistics & Magic Management: Route incoming donations and coordinate with local county-level volunteers (our "Jingle Junctions") to ensure smooth operations.

  • Customer Service Champion: Provide warm, prompt, and professional communication to all partners, volunteers, and the public. You are the face of Elves Across America for your state!

? Core Requirements & Qualifications

To run a State Sleigh Center, you need more than just holiday cheer—you need serious operational skills!

  • Highly Tech Fluent: You must be incredibly comfortable with computers, fast at learning new software/programs (Google Workspace, CRM tools, Canva, Slack, etc.), and able to manage digital databases efficiently.

  • Exceptional People Skills: You must be highly personable, comfortable making phone calls to businesses and charities, and possess stellar written communication skills.

  • Business Hours Availability: Because you will be contacting local businesses and nonprofits, you must have availability to volunteer during standard daytime business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM).

  • Fast Learner & Self-Starter: You are a pioneer in this role! We need someone who can learn the ropes quickly, problem-solve on the fly, and is always willing to go above and beyond to make a mission successful.

  • Dedicated & Reliable (Strict 10-Week Commitment): This role requires a firm 10-week commitment from today through the end of the holiday season. The magic doesn't happen without consistent leadership!

? Why Join the Workshop?

  • Unmatched Leadership Experience: Build a standout resume with proven experience in state-wide project management, logistics, B2B recruitment, and nonprofit coordination.

  • Flexible & Remote: Work from the comfort of your own "cocoa cabin," provided you can meet business-hour communication demands.

  • Official Elf Swag: Earn your official State Leader volunteer badge and exclusive Elves Across America gear.

  • The Ultimate Joy: Experience the unmatched feeling of knowing your direct leadership brought holiday magic, relief, and joy to thousands of families in your state.

? How to Apply

Ready to don your pointy hat and take command of your state's Sleigh Center?

Please send your earthly resume and a brief cover letter (or email) explaining why you are the perfect fit for this volunteer role to Head Elf Mia at helfelf@elvesacrossamerica.com with the subject line: "Volunteer: Elf of Merry Operations - [Your State]".
