Entry-Level Accountant (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Clark, NJ, 07066 (Parking Available)

Temp Pay Rate: $25/hr - $28/hr

Salary upon conversion: $60,000/year

Schedule: Fully onsite, Monday–Friday, with flexible start times of 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 9:00 AM

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Opportunity:

A well-established, family-owned manufacturing and distribution company is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join its growing finance team. With approximately 70 years in business and products sold through major retailers, this organization offers the opportunity to gain broad accounting experience in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

This is a newly created position due to company growth, offering exposure to multiple areas of accounting rather than being limited to a single function. It's an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accounting professional or recent graduate looking to build a strong foundation and grow their skill set.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and account maintenance.


• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.


• Assist with journal entries, month-end closing activities, and general ledger maintenance.


• Support budgeting, financial reporting, and data analysis.


• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.


• Work closely with the accounting team on day-to-day financial operations and special projects.


• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for accounting and financial processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field from a U.S.-based, in-person academic program.


• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.


• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.


• Analytical mindset with an interest in developing a well-rounded accounting skill set.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hands-on environment.


• Experience with Microsoft Excel or accounting systems is a plus.
