School Nurse [84339]

We’re currently seeking a full-time, in-person School Nurse to support a school in Fairfield County, CT for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Details:

• Start Date: ASAP


• End Date: 12/23/2026 (May extend)


• Location: Fairfield, CT


• New Canaan, CT, 37.5-40 Hours per Week


• School Year: 2026-2027

Qualifications:

• Active CNA or LPN license.


• Ability to provide consistent, dedicated 1:1 support in a school setting.


• Comfortable supporting a student who may require wheelchair support and close monitoring throughout the day.


• Willingness and ability to ride the bus with the student to and from school.


• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 health support for a high school medically fragile student across the school day.


• Accompany the student during transportation to and from school.


• Track the student’s tolerance for activity and respond promptly when signs of fatigue are reported or observed.


• Support safe mobility by staying with the student and assisting as needed when transitioning between a walker and a wheelchair.


• When the student is absent or leaves early, assist with coverage in the school clinic, medically fragile classroom, or other assigned setting per supervisor direction.
