Creative Production & Operations Assistant

Company: Robal Agency

Location: Manhattan, New York City

Employment: Full-Time, In-Person

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional evening and weekend production work

About Robal Agency

Robal Agency is a New York City-based creative production agency specializing in luxury events, brand campaigns, photography, and video production.

We work with leading brands across fashion, hospitality, entertainment, and corporate industries, delivering high-quality creative work in fast-paced environments where attention to detail and reliability matter.

We're looking for an ambitious, organized, and hardworking Creative Production & Operations Assistant to work directly with our founder and support both the creative and business sides of the agency.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn, develop new skills, and grow alongside a creative company.

What You'll Be Doing

Creative Production

  • Assist on professional photography and video shoots, including events, campaigns, and studio productions.

  • Capture and edit photography and video content.

  • Help prepare cameras, lighting, audio equipment, shot lists, and production materials.

  • Assist with onsite content delivery and fast-turnaround projects.

  • Organize, select, retouch, and deliver client photography and video assets.

  • Manage equipment, memory cards, file transfers, backups, and digital media libraries.

Agency Operations

  • Assist with calendar management, scheduling, correspondence, and administrative responsibilities.

  • Coordinate production logistics, crew schedules, equipment, locations, and talent.

  • Help maintain organized project files, documents, and internal workflows.

  • Conduct research, maintain spreadsheets, and support various day-to-day office tasks.

  • Track assignments, follow up on outstanding items, and help keep projects moving forward.

  • Identify opportunities to improve organization, efficiency, and internal processes.

Marketing & Business Development

  • Assist with social media, marketing content, and portfolio updates.

  • Research prospective clients, brands, and business opportunities.

  • Help maintain our CRM and organize sales and outreach activities.

  • Assist with presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.

Who We're Looking For

We care just as much about your attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn as we do about your existing experience.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing things well.

  • Is proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate what needs to happen next.

  • Learns quickly, follows direction, and responds promptly to changing priorities.

  • Has excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Is receptive to constructive feedback and continuously looks for ways to improve.

  • Can manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.

  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and good judgment when interacting with clients.

  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and follows tasks through to completion.

  • Is equally comfortable assisting with creative projects and routine administrative work.

  • Understands the importance of protecting confidential client information and project materials.

  • Has a genuine interest in photography, video production, marketing, and the creative industry.

  • Wants to develop professionally and take on greater responsibility over time.

Technical Skills

Some experience required:

  • Basic photography and camera operation.

  • Basic videography and video editing.

  • Familiarity with at least one professional photo or video editing program.

  • Comfortable working on Mac computers and learning new software.

Bonus skills:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, Capture One, or DaVinci Resolve.

  • Social media content creation and vertical video production.

  • Google Workspace, spreadsheets, CRM software, and AI productivity tools.

  • Experience with lighting, audio, or professional production equipment.

  • Previous event, agency, or production experience.

You don't need to be an expert. We provide hands-on training and opportunities to learn professional production workflows, but you should have a basic foundation and a strong desire to improve.

Schedule & Availability

  • Must be able to work in person in Manhattan five days per week, including work at our office and production locations as assigned.

  • Must have flexibility for occasional evening and weekend shoots. All hours will be tracked and compensated in accordance with applicable wage and overtime laws.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, and transport photography and video equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on training and regular feedback from a founder with nearly a decade of professional creative production experience.

  • Opportunities to work on high-profile events, luxury brand campaigns, and creative productions.

  • Practical experience in photography, videography, editing, production, and agency operations.

  • Exposure to the business side of operating and growing a creative agency.

  • The opportunity to develop into a larger creative, production, or operations role as your skills grow.

A Few Things to Know

This isn't a typical desk job, and it isn't exclusively a photography position.

Some days you'll be editing footage, managing schedules, or organizing project files. Other days you'll be on set, coordinating production details, or helping execute a high-profile event.

We operate with high standards, move quickly, and believe there's always room to improve.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just complete assigned tasks but actively looks for ways to make the team more organized, efficient, and successful.

If you're motivated, dependable, eager to learn, and excited by the opportunity to grow in a creative environment, we'd love to hear from you.

How to Apply

Please submit:

  1. Your resume.

  2. A photography, video, or editing portfolio, if available. Personal and student projects are welcome.

  3. A brief introduction explaining why you're interested in the position and what you'd like to learn.
