Quality Manager

Delaware Dynamics produces very large die casting molds and tooling for the automotive industry as well as large tooling, jigs and fixtured for the aerospace and defense industries for over 75 years in Muncie Indiana.

Due to growth and diversity of business, we are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to manage all day-to-day quality operations systems in Muncie as well as oversee the quality program in our die casting facility.

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal and external audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain effective quality management systems: ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and ASD9100


• Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities related to the quality program


• Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards


• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings


• Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures


• Monitor the performance of the quality system and identify opportunities for improvement


• Conduct audits and manage corrective actions


• Investigate customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them


• Prepare reports on the performance of the quality system


• Train employees on quality procedures


• Maintain records of all quality activities


• Review new or revised product designs for compliance with quality standards


• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that quality requirements are met


• Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards


• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action


• Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or related field


• 5+ years' relevant work experience


• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail


• Working knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.), methods, and tools


• Experience developing and managing quality metrics


• Excellent analytical skills for data-driven decision making


• Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry
