I’m working with a Chicago firm interested in an insurance coverage partner with established client relationships and a portable practice.

Your experience may include advising insurers on policy interpretation, handling complex coverage disputes, litigating declaratory judgment actions or defending bad faith claims. Illinois admission and at least nine years of relevant experience are required.

The starting point is your business. Which clients would follow? What support do their matters need? Where could complementary expertise help you deepen those relationships?

Then come the practical questions: conflicts, panel requirements, billing rates, associate capacity, origination credit and compensation.

A firm’s enthusiasm is welcome. A convincing plan for your practice is what makes the conversation worth continuing.
