Accounting Specialist

A growing real estate company in the Louisville market is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join its accounting team. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of properties and work closely with the accounting and property management teams.

Responsibilities

• Process and code invoices, expense reports, and other accounting transactions.
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Enter and maintain accurate financial data in the accounting system.
• Prepare deposits, process payments, and post cash receipts.
• Assist with monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and proper coding.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial reports.
• Communicate with vendors, tenants, and internal teams regarding billing and account questions.
• Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Real estate or property accounting experience is a plus.
