Private Credit Fund Accounting Manager – Contract Jersey City, NJ | Hybrid (3 days onsite) Initial 6-month contract | Potential extension Rate: Contract remuneration will be discussed individually, taking into account technical experience, location and engagement arrangements. We're supporting a leading global alternative investment services provider experiencing continued growth across its Private Credit business. As part of this expansion, the firm is looking to appoint experienced fund accounting professionals on an initial six-month contract to provide additional technical capacity and hands-on expertise. The opportunity This is a delivery-focused assignment for someone who understands the complexities of Private Credit and Direct Lending funds and can contribute with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and reviewing NAV calculations, general ledgers and fund financial statements. Accounting for loan investments, interest accruals, PIK interest, repayments and related transactions. Supporting capital activity, investor allocations, management fees and waterfalls. Investigating reconciliations, resolving accounting issues and supporting reporting deadlines. Working closely with fund accounting, loan operations and client servicing teams. Who we're looking for You'll have strong hands-on fund accounting experience, ideally covering Private Credit, Private Debt or Direct Lending, with sound knowledge of US GAAP and investment accounting. Experience gained within a fund administrator, alternative asset manager or private credit investment platform would be particularly relevant. Your current or previous title is less important than your technical capability. We're open to experienced Managers, VPs, Fund Controllers and senior specialists who remain comfortable working directly with the accounting detail. This opportunity may be particularly relevant to established contractors, interim professionals or experienced individuals considering a shorter-term assignment rather than another permanent appointment.
